В Китае распространяется вирус, жертвами которого становятся майнеры биткоина. Ущерб от его деятельности измеряется десятками тысяч долларов.
📗Вирус заражает майнеры, выпущенные компанией Bitmain, и требует перевести 10 биткоинов, угрожая в противном случае вызвать перегрев устройства.
✅Проблема решается путём форматирования SD-карты заражённого устройства, однако, как отмечает Trustnodes, весь процесс может занимать до четырёх дней, в то время как зловредное ПО стремительно распространяется на остальные майнеры.
🖌Вероятно, вирус поставляется вместе с «улучшенной» прошивкой для майнеров. Некоторые владельцы устанавливают такие прошивки для «разгона» своих ASIC-устройств и повышения их производительности.
Первые сообщения о вирусе относятся к августу прошлого года. В частности, были инфицированы майнеры Antminer S9, T9 и даже L3+ для Litecoin. Со временем зловред был усовершенствован.
